Music

Chilmark and Fonthill Bishop provides a vibrant musical education. Pupils learn to play and sing as part of the curriculum, to ensure high quality we employ a specialist music teacher for whole class recorder lessons and whole class singing. We also have a lunchtime choir club.

We are able to offer a variety of extra-curricular, low-cost music lessons in school. We can arrange teachers for the following instruments: drums, keyboard, vocal coaching, guitar or brass. These are available on request and booked through the Wiltshire Music Service.

Pupils sing at our Church and also take part in performances throughout the year such as a nativity, musical extravaganza, or celebration assemblies. Chilmark pupils are encouraged to be courageous, brave and in the spotlight. This allows all pupils to develop a confident and self-assured sense of themselves and their place in the world.
