Safeguarding
Keeping Children safe
Child protection is our highest concern. The Designated Safeguarding lead at school is Mr Smith and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding leads are Mrs Hale and Mrs Rennard. Please ask to speak with any of these people if you need to raise a concern. However, it may be that you experience something during the weekend or a school holiday, so the information below explains how to address your concern.
The school curriculum has a golden thread of safeguarding running through it. We teach pupils and invite experts to work with pupils to build knowledge of keeping safe, first aid, fire safety, internet safety, bullying and abuse. This is also delivered in our PSHE, RSE curriculum and is a theme that is seen in our school values, code of conduct, behaviour expectations and whole school worship. As a result pupils know what to expect of themselves, of other and know that when this is not the case that this is not right and they should speak out.
