Parents in Partnership
At Chilmark and Fonthill Bishop Primary School, we believe that it is essential to develop strong partnerships with home if our children are to achieve their full potential. Parents and schools working as partners can only increase pupil achievement and help to develop positive attitudes about self and school.
One of the ways that we achieve this is to provide regular opportunities for parents to come and engage with visiting experts and members of our own school community on topics of interest. For example: we have hosted talks on Internet safety, Emotional School Based Avoidance, Dyslexia, Mental Wellbeing, Early Reading and SEND.
We have called these sessions PIP (Parents In Partnership). These are advertised termly throughout the year and all members of the community are welcome to join us, for coffee and cake.
The PiP is a great forum for us to share insights into how the school works and we are keen for parents to suggest themes for these sessions. Please contact the school office on admin@chilmarkfonthillbishop.wilts.sch.uk if you have any recommendations for us to address.
